Morgelyn is a quietly situated property at the north end of St Marys 1.5 miles from Hugh Town. It consists of 3 self-catering units and owners residence. A pleasant half hour walk with splendid views takes you into town, or there is a bus which stops 2 minutes walk away. Alternatively you may hire a bike or make use of the reliable taxi service. There is a restaurant and the golf club within 15 mins. walk
The garden at the front is for all guests to use and there are seats and a picnic bench so you can eat “al fresco “ if you wish.
From the front there is a view across to Tresco and Round Island Lighthouse. There are beaches and a golf course nearby and quiet coastal and inland walks with many opportunities to take in the beauty and tranquillity of the islands.
A short walk down the road takes you to Bants Carn burial chamber and ancient village. Below that are 2 secluded beaches at “The Creeb“ and “Halangy“ and on round past “Pendrathen“ with its little quay and boats is Bar Point, another beach with stunning views.
Guests have access to the lounge with TV, comfortable seating and lots of books. In the hall there is a suitcase full of games for rainy days
Regrettably children under 10 cannot be accommodated. Also we no longer have a grocery delivery service, but I leave a welcome tray for arrivals.
All units have hairdryers, tvs and radios
The cost of electricity for heating and cooking is included in the price as are towels and linen. ( I can lend old towels for beach use.) There are ironing and cleaning facilities in the hall cupboard.
Milk can be delivered 3 times a week on request.

The Creeb

This is the smallest unit, with twin beds, 2 wicker chairs, fold down table with 2 chairs and 2 small tables.
The kitchenette has oven, hob and built in fridge with small freezer compartment. There is also a wall mounted microwave above the movable butchers trolly.
Creeb has the only bath in the house and an electric shower.
It also has views over the garden and across to Tresco.

Halangy

The larger unit at the back has garden views from the living and bedroom windows. It consists of a kitchen and large living /dining area with a good quality double sofa bed, two easy chairs and TV/video. A single put-you-up or inflatable bed can also be put in this room. The double bedroom leads off the living room, as does the bathroom with shower. There is an ensuite toilet and handbasin off the bedroom.

Pendrathen
This is a loft conversion consisting of 3 rooms
The bathroom with shower is to the left of the entrance lobby and to the right is the kitchen equipped with microwave, electric cooker, refrigerator and fitted units

The bed /sitting room has twin storer beds (can be pushed together to form a double) with good thick mattresses. There is a sofa, chest of drawers, coffee table, and dining table with bench seating
